Bandai Namco announced on official social media that Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve surpassed one million copies sold within its first week on sale, the fastest in the series to reach that mark. The publisher said it will keep releasing updates and added a commemorative wallpaper to the Ace Combat website. For comparison, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown has sold 7.5 million units since its 2019 launch and remains the series' best-selling entry.
