Caves of Qud expansion Diaspora enters early access on December 9, letting you play as a mutating plant

Caves of Qud's expansion Diaspora will enter early access on Steam on December 9, letting players start as a mutated animal or plant, such as a tree that mutates into a man. Publisher Kitfox said Diaspora adds feature arcs around new life and culture flowing into Qud's marsh-moated ruins, plus new creatures and artifacts at launch, and camelfolk caravans with their saltback tortoise steeds will be mountable for the first time. Development is expected to last on the order of one year, with plans for a multi-step questline, new factions and underground villages, seasonal mega-caravans, more items, creatures, mutant stocks, and new fungal infections.
