RuneScape Dev Pulls Trailer After 6-Fingered Knight Leads to Generative AI Allegations
Brief
Jagex pulled the RuneScape 3 Dragon Slayer 2 quest trailer after players alleged generative AI was used, saying it is investigating urgently. The trailer was made by an external partner that had confirmed GenAI would not be used, but a knight has six fingers and boots in another frame resemble modern sneakers. Jagex said it does not use GenAI for its games, artwork, or creative assets and will overhaul its review processes after RuneFest.
