PS5's Biggest Physical Games Look Very Different From Its Biggest Digital Hits

Alinea Analytics data shows PS5's top new physical games of 2026 are mostly single-player AAA titles, led by Resident Evil Requiem at an estimated 1.3 million units, the only game on the list to pass one million. 007 First Light (873,000) and Marvel's Wolverine (799,000) follow, while digital still holds a 70/30 sales lead overall. Capcom's Pragmata and Onimusha: Way of the Sword split nearly evenly between physical and digital at 44.0% and 44.1% physical, driven by Japanese demand.
