Dragon Quest Creator Yuji Horii Lauds AI After Prompting New Game In 30 Minutes

Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii has praised AI's role in game development while showing off a free online text-based interrogation prototype he says took less than an hour to make using only AI prompts. Horii said that unlike when he made The Portopia Serial Murder Case by himself, he can now create a decent game alone through AI instructions even without drawing or programming skills. The 72-year-old designer, who has said he intends to bring generative AI into his future games, shared the prototype on X.
