Steam Pricing Analyst Finds Hollow Knight: Silksong's $20 Price Annoying: 'Please Price It Higher'

Pricing specialist Cassia Curran told The Game Business she was annoyed by Hollow Knight: Silksong's $20 price, saying $24.99 would have made a big difference to many studios with similar games. Team Cherry raised the launch price by just $5 over the 2017 original despite a seven-year production cycle and a roughly 30-hour single-player campaign. Curran said there is considerable downward pricing pressure on Steam, where successful rivals set a price ceiling for similar games.
