In a blog post the studio said it missed the mark and would not grow the game at the expense of its existing community, noting that a past combat change made without listening to feedback took over a decade to recover from. Instead, Jagex will release the Adventure Guide and the first part of the Remastered Journey alongside other improvements on December 2, and a 10 day free trial runs from December 2 to 12 for new characters or accounts without active membership since June 2.
