EA shuts down BioWare and cancels the next Mass Effect
EA has closed BioWare, the RPG studio founded in 1995, and cancelled the next Mass Effect game. BioWare made the original Baldur's Gate games, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and the Dragon Age and Mass Effect series before EA acquired it in 2007. EA is also laying off around 400 people across the company, according to Bloomberg.
