New Mass Effect Cancelled So EA Can Focus on Star Wars Battlefront 3
Brief
Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier reported that EA, reviewing its lineup, chose the lower-risk Star Wars Battlefront 3 over the next Mass Effect, cancelling the latter and shutting down BioWare. The report says Star Wars Battlefront 3 has not yet entered development at EA DICE and Respawn Entertainment. BioWare had 50 employees left when it closed, after weak sales of Dragon Age: The Veilguard led to heavy layoffs.
