Overwatch's First Year-Long Story Reached Its Climax as Fans Ask What Was Even the Point

Overwatch released the cinematic "In the Wolf's Mouth" on October 29, concluding its 2026 year-long story arc in which Doomfist defeats Vendetta and reclaims leadership of Talon. Fans and Fareeha Andersen, the voice of hero Anran, criticized the arc as lacking meaning, with Vendetta defeated quickly after a year of buildup. The story ends roughly where it began, with Doomfist in power and Overwatch still an officially unofficial peacekeeping group.
