Blizzard Sparks World of Warcraft Fan Backlash for 'Breaking Promise' Over Housing Microtransactions

Blizzard released two housing packs this week: the Haunted Grimtide Estate pack for 2,500 hearthsteel ($25) and the Grimtide Decor Pack with 21 decorations for 1,000 hearthsteel ($10). Players say the items' Kul'Tiran and Stormsong Valley look breaks Blizzard's stated principle of not selling cosmetics representing a WoW race or class. Influencer BellularGaming and Reddit users are calling out the move and urging players not to buy.
