Life is Strange studio Don't Nod enters safeguard proceedings as staff report layoffs and an outsourcing push for P14

"This company has been driven into a wall for years" - Life is Strange studio Don't Nod faces unrest while teetering on insolvency

Brief

A report on the French union Le Syndicat des Travailleureuses du Jeu Vidéo's website says Life is Strange studio Don't Nod has entered safeguard proceedings as it restructures to avoid insolvency. It says most character, concept and environment artists, sound designers, designers, programmers, producers, testers and dev-ops staff have been let go, and that management plans to finish the in-development game codenamed P14 largely through outsourcing. The report also says affected staff are offered only the legal minimum, with CSE negotiations ending on 3rd November; Eurogamer has asked Don't Nod for comment.
