Report: BioWare Was Shut Down Because EA Chose Star Wars Over Mass Effect

Bloomberg reported that EA shut down BioWare and canceled Mass Effect: Universe to prioritize Star Wars Battlefront 3 after its $55 billion private equity acquisition in August. The report says Battlefront 3 has not entered development, but EA saw it as less risky than an RPG, and it also cites BioWare's recent reception and executive changes.
