WoW: Forever's Beta Ends, and Its Endgame Is the One Real Worry

The beta for World of Warcraft: Forever has ended, and PC Gamer's columnist stopped around level 26 on a warrior to avoid burning out before the November release. The game is built for perpetual max-level play with no expansions and horizontal growth, yet Blizzard says Tier 2 and Tier 3 raids will still offer better gear while keeping older raid loot useful. The concern is whether that slow vertical progression will eventually create raid-entry, catch-up gear and grouping problems.
