Skybound Games and developer Quarter Up have announced Agent Spider as a downloadable content character for the three-versus-three tag fighting game Invincible VS. He will launch this winter alongside a new mode and arena. Invincible VS is available now for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.
Mick Gordon, who composed the soundtracks for 2016's Doom and 2020's Doom Eternal, told IGN at PAX Australia that he would return to id Software's Doom series "in a heartbeat" if the right conditions fell into place. He said he still has a whole list of ideas he'd love to explore for Doom one day. Gordon previously accused id Software in a 2022 Medium post of failing to pay him for half his work on the Doom Eternal soundtrack and singled out executive producer Marty Stratton.

The shortlist for the 44th annual Golden Joystick Awards has been announced, including 10 nominees for PC Game of the Year such as Big Walk, Crimson Desert, Escape from Tarkov, and Valheim. To qualify, games had to be released between November 1, 2025, and September 25, 2026. Voting closes on October 23, and winners will be revealed at a ceremony on November 11.

Bumper Bout is a two-player competitive pinball game that was featured as the final game of the Omegathon at PAX Australia. Players compete on split halves of the screen and can flick balls across the divide to harass their opponent, with bumper hits earning attack balls that unlock character ultimates when four are stored. The game will launch on October 29 with singleplayer arcade and survival modes planned, plus online multiplayer in the final version, and a demo is available on Steam.

The GTA 6 leaker account Cyberleek has posted new footage showing female lead Lucia driving, fighting hand-to-hand, using an ATM, and taking part in a parachuting side mission, with some parts looking janky. The account says it will release a playable build if its $Cyberleek meme coin reaches a $30 million market cap, and is now at around $4.75 million. ArchiusDev has unveiled Mancalero, a turn-based strategy board game marble builder inspired by Mancala and Balatro, where players sow marbles, build a collection of special marbles, use custom boards, and defeat rule-changing bosses for higher scores. The v1.02 update to the Demo is out for Windows, macOS, and Linux with controller and SteamDeck support, and the full release is set for November alongside a NextFest appearance.
At a retrospective panel at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo, EA producer Jim Vessella announced a 30th anniversary remaster of Wing Commander 3: Heart of the Tiger. He said master tapes from the game's production have been unearthed and that the remaster will clean up video compression, run at 60FPS, add post-release community enhancements, and include "the Kilrathi Saga," suggesting all three of the initial trilogy. The game's live action sequences feature performances from Mark Hamill, Malcolm McDowell, Tim Curry and others.

Zymartu Games has released a major update to the Fields of Aaru demo for Steam Next Fest, adding digging and irrigation that let players dig channels, reshape farmland and repair a water wheel and shaduf. The Discord server for the Terraria mod Calamity was compromised and used to promote a cryptocoin named after the server, which was immediately pumped and dumped. The server owner was tricked into handing over access by two users posing as former moderators, one of whom revealed themselves to be a hacker known as "Kata." A former moderator has since wiped the server's contents, and tens of thousands of users have left in the past two days.
Solo dev tkayyy's creature card battler The Cup now has a free demo live on Steam. Each side fields three real North American animals plus a few cryptids, with every card printing its own odds, such as the armadillo always hitting for 2 and the eagle rolling a d12 that misses on 1 through 5 but hits every enemy at once on a 12, all called by two hosts for an alien TV audience. The demo includes the tutorial, THE ROAD (five bouts against invasive species) and matches against the House, while the full game arrives November 10 with Steam multiplayer.

Arc System Works revealed the Year 1 DLC roster for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, featuring Phoenix Cyclops, Thor (Jane Foster), Venom and Jubilee. Phoenix Cyclops arrives first on 2nd November with Classic and Legacy costumes the same day, followed by Thor (Jane Foster) in winter 2027, Venom and a Klyntar stage in spring 2027, and Jubilee expected in summer 2027. The characters and stage form the Year One Characters & Stage Pass and can also be bought individually; the game is out now on PS5 and PC.
