Ten Thousand Hearts is developing FMV – Full Motion Voyeur, a psychological horror game about surveillance in which players search intel files for locations and password clues, solve puzzles to unlock hidden camera feeds, and find sinners to feed to a Demon. Refusing to obey puts your captive partner Mona in mortal danger. A playable demo is planned for Steam by the end of October.
EA producer Jim Vessella revealed at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo that Wing Commander 3 is getting a remaster, after he found 600 source tapes while digitising EA's video archive. Called Wing Commander 3: Heart of the Tiger—30th anniversary edition, it will include source and upscaled FMVs, Kilrathi Saga integration, 60 FPS, controller support, and releases on Steam, GOG, and the EA app.

A developer is working on Pathwright Defense, a free browser tower defense game with a built-in level editor that lets players configure enemies, waves, and turrets and create their own layouts. The game currently includes three built-in levels: an introductory level, a more challenging second level, and a harder variant of the second. The editor supports designs such as multiple enemy paths or limited space for placing turrets.
Air Combat Legends is a single-player retro-inspired combat flight sim set in an alternate 1990 Cold War conflict, inspired by classic PC flight sims like F-29 Retaliator and F-16 Combat Pilot. Its main focus is a dynamic procedural campaign where you recon the battlefield, plan the mission, pick your pilot and aircraft, then fly it yourself, with permanent pilot losses and aircraft suited to different jobs. It is coming to PC via Steam with a release date TBA, and an announcement trailer is out with wishlisting open.
Pierogi Games has revealed Rune Runners, a 3D coop adventure platformer inspired by Mage Bros, with a demo available now. Up to two players pick a Mage with an element (thunder, fire, wind, water) and can combine elements for special attacks in coop. The core loop is smashing through levels, slaying monsters and activating all runes to reach each level's portal, with boss fights, staff upgrades, skins, accessories and pets in between.

Dreadhaven: The Last Colony, a minimalist turn-based city-building strategy game set in a zombie-overrun post-apocalyptic world, now has a demo available on Steam. The demo includes 2 maps and 2 havens, with 1–2 hours to play through both maps or around 5–10 hours to explore everything. Developer Woum cited They Are Billions, Nordhold, The King Is Watching, and The Last Spell as inspirations, with Goblinz Publishing involved.
Developer akshay33169 released A Tanuki's Tale Demo V0.5, a 3D open world action RPG based on Japanese folklore in which players control a lost Tanuki trying to find his way home. The game involves collecting the four memories of home and the eight blessings and completing side quests. This release adds a tutorial screen, pop-up hints, slightly bigger destructible objects, a bigger UI screen, and new SFX, and the demo is free to play in browser.
Crown and Coup is a solo-developed roguelike that swaps Balatro's deck for a monarch and a chess army, scoring through captures at might x mult with 117 joker-style stratagems plus omens, grimoires, runestones and proclamations. Krafton's Wisconsin studio PUBG Madison is developing PUBG Ded.Net, a third-person battle royale shooter in which players are contestants in an ultra-violent gameshow. Its twist is a pick-three-style roguelite system that carries across consecutive matches, where upgrades and injuries from one game affect the next. Creative director Dave Curd says chasing that power-up fantasy is meant to take the edge off losing.
Sheraf Games has shown off FEED ME MORE BRAINS, a first-person incremental game where you manually feed brains to an eldritch god and then gradually automate the process with cultists, tentacles, giant eyes and other weird stuff. A demo is available on Steam, and the game releases on November 5th.

Weira Games' turn-based roguelike deckbuilder Overwrite Conflict now has a free demo on Steam for Windows. Players rotate and place cards called protocols to claim territory, box in opponents, and convert their tactical score into damage against enemy mechs. The demo includes a five-battle prologue, the full Chapter 1 adventure with a chapter boss, and three playable mechs, with no release date yet for the full game.
Yume Unlimited, a two-person team, is making Burger Factory Simulator for PC on Steam, where players run a burger shop solo or with friends and start by manually cooking, serving, checking out customers, and washing dishes. As they progress, they unlock conveyor belts, automatic stoves, item grabbers, and dishwashers, with a blueprint view and co-op that auto-balances based on player count. The game is aiming for an early 2027 release.
Pragmata lead producer Masachika Kawata said Capcom at one point considered making the new sci-fi game "a little bit more horror focused." Bandai Namco has detailed a new road map for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, marking the game's second anniversary with more events, free updates, game modes and additional fighters through the rest of 2026 and into 2027. The new Tower of Power mode will launch first as a Solo experience, while the paid Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC is set for Switch and Switch 2 in Spring 2027. Cyberleek, who has been uploading Grand Theft Auto 6 footage since August, says a build with the full story mode played to the end will be released if their memecoin gains about $26 million more to reach a $30 million market cap. Cyberleek also says publisher Take-Two could stop it by releasing GTA 6 physically and apologizing. Militsioner, an immersive sim about being trapped in an open-air prison town under a giant cop, now has a new demo on Steam. The demo includes quests like getting a job, buying desert, and following a character called Friend into the sewer, plus mood-management mechanics where upsetting the giant cop costs you freedom. The game is currently set for a 2027 release.
Arc Raiders launched its Frozen Trail 2.0 update on October 8 across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, alongside a free weekend running October 8 to 12, pushing its Steam concurrent player count to 166,670, a seven-month high. A hacker group called Cyberleek claims on its website that it will release a playable build of GTA 6, including the full story mode played to the end and credits, once it reaches a 30 million market cap. Earlier this week the group seemingly leaked around 25 minutes of footage, including a look at co-protagonist Jason, and said Take-Two could end the matter by printing physical discs and issuing a public apology.
